www.moates.net
they have a eprom that will switch between two tunes with a simple ground wire. You will still need a laptop to program the chip though.
Do you switch on a daily basis or what? I would think just reflashing for one or the other would be wuite simple unless you are switching back and forth constantly.
Don't you have to run quite a bit more compression for the E85 to work properly?
This is fast becomming the thing to do though, how do you like it??

Read your sig. There's ways to store dual programs/tunes. I think moats.net even has a switcher board where you can flip between two via a toggle-switch. I know they have double-size EPROMS that work, but I don't know exactly how to specifically access the different tunes.

thanks
I contacted them will see what they suggest for my application. if somthing goes rong during a flash I could whipe my ecm leaving me stranded. luggin a lappy is not always practical. pros:the fuel is cheaper, has more power, runs smoother and a better smell, @ 12:1 could still use NOS!!!!!!!!! /////cons:less mpg, fuel sys upgrades. high cr or boost to take full advantage.

Whoops, I must appologize, and I think 95ttop thought the same thing. You can't run the items we listed, or talked about. You have a 94, which doesn't use chips. It's EEPROM which isn't removable. You'd have to get 2 PCMs and flash them with what you want and 1 of 2 things. Take a ton of time and make a switch panel to swap between the two physical PCMs, or just keep the other PCM with you and when you want to get the E85, then plug the other PCM in while at the pump.
So again, 93 get EPROMs and ability to fool around with double-capacity chips, as well as holding two physical chips. They also use the ECM (Engine Control Module)
94+ get EEPROMs which can't be removed (well COULD I suppose if yo want to solder, but that'd be very stupid) and run PCM (Powertrain Control Modules)
I'm sure you know that, but better to list it and you know, than not and leave it out

cant remember the link but i have seen a 95 ecm socketed after a guy got a bad flash so he could just replace the chip without soldering again. was not a long dipp like those but square like a newer bios chip. takin that in to account could prolly mod it like an xbox to have multi bios or program at a flick of a switch. would rather send it out than try to rengineer it myself

I think you can socket the 95 PCM's but I'm not sure what you would run for the chip. Sorry if I misinformed you.
I'd call and talk to Craig Moates. He would be able to steer you in the right direction.
I wouldn't be afraid of reflashing. I have reflashed my PCM close to 200 times and never lost one yet. Most of the times I have seen people fry the PCM was due to user error. Like when the BIG red letters say DO NOT INTERRUPT, it really means it

Why 95? Isn't 94 the exact same?
I assume the guy installed something like this (used for TBI)

95 and 94 are the same, although there is a wierd 94 def file that pops up every now and then.
You might be able to run and emulator but you would still need the laptop.
Why not just pick one fuel

E85 isn't really plentiful enough. While you can run normal gas in Flex Fuel, it's sacrificed performance. So I kinda see where he's coming from.
Just run a speed density setup and make it easy on yourself

hmm back to the drawing board
'
Sorry, but I don't know of any options for that. Wish I could help. The
only
thing I know of is reflashing the PCM via my ALDU1+CABL2.
Best regards,

Why not get a Palm Pilot that can run the flash software and just keep it in the glove box. When you need/want to run which ever fuel, flash it at the pump. Much smaller than a Laptop. Hell, some phones can ever run it.
