Default Mystery Part......

Well was under the rear of the car working on the brakes and saw this hose thing hanging down.

It's the hose with the white plastic around the bottom of it.

Are you missing the bracket or did you unbolt it? Looks like you broke the clips on the bottom of the canister vent filter holding it on the bracket too.

Oh no, that is exactly how it came. I had nothing to do with the way it sits in the pic so that was a previous owner deal.

Anybody have a pic of how it should be or is it find hanging there?

This is what it's supposed to look like. http://www.racetronix.com/product/RX.../Dcp_1169a.jpg
Except that picture has an aftermarket wiring harness on it. But as you notice, there is a bracket holding on to the brake line and the canister vent filter. The bolt holding the bracket down doesn't have any wires on it STOCK (in the picture there is an aftermarket relay and ground wire attached to it).

Ohh ok, I still have that bracket if I remember correctly so that means that the piece broke off to hold it on the bracket.

Is that a must have or could I just rig it up somewhere to keep it from flopping around?

Thanks!

You don't need it connected to the bracket. It's just there to keep it from flopping around. I would just zip-tie it to the wire next to it.
