Jack the car up and go in from the bottom, the passenger side is easier then the drivers side. Experinced LT1'ers can do most from the top, but it can depend on skill/tools/experience.
Do it with a friend who has mechanical ability and be careful, you strip out a spark plug and your in a world of hurt.

1. Unless you have headers, changing spark plugs is terrible on LT1s. Even if you know how to do it, it still sucks and takes hours.
2. A y-pipe is not involved whatsoever when doing spark plugs.
3. To change them, disconnect the pluge wire, use a wrench or socket to loosen the plug (by turning it counter-clockwise), and once it's loose enough unscrew it with your hand. Put a new plug in by doing the opposite, and re-attach the wire.
4. You can seafoam your gas at any time and it won't affect your spark plugs whatsoever. Putting it through the engine, however, is probably a good idea to do before you change plugs.
5. It sounds like you should get a friend to help you.

If you seafoam the car, do it before the oil change. And drive the car for at least 100-200 miles before you change the oil. Reason being, seafoam cleans lots of crap and it all goes to the oil. So you don't want to crap up your pretty new oil that you just put in.
