Default Pros and Cons of the heated O2 sensors

Well i had the conversion diagram to turn my O2 sensors in my 93 T/A to the newer style. And like the title says what are the pros and cons of the two? Besides being able to run a different type of air/fuel ratio

I see nothing but Pro's to doing the heated swap.

You run a more advanced O2 as well as them being heated so your ECU gets the correct readings.

I would only do it if you plan on getting Longtubes in the near future.

From what i have seen you are only able to plug in the low res. signal and not both the high and the low res. signal.

Check out speeddensity.org and ask the guys there. I did a wiring harness kit up for most of the guys there running them and there's been ZERO issues (myself included). The Low res signal is the one that's used, the high res is a redundant signal. You'll be fine.

that is what i had figured but i figured i would ask and see if anyone out there had done it and if there were any problems.

I also just read an article about people changing from their MAP sensor and going over to MAF sensors. This was on a different car but same principle. They were saying that the potential is there for more tuning and better performance. Anyone heard of this or has attempted it?

Blah, stick with the SD. It's just easier to tune the MAF cars because of no chip and the MAF tables. SD tuning gets a more accurate tune and there's one less component to fail.
