Default sprayin a LT-1, looking for a good wet kit

well im tryin to help a friend out here. has a LT-1 roadmaster and wants to spray it. was looking for opinions on what a good wet kit is for these cars. ive seen the TNT kit on a few local cars but he'd like somethin a little less scary looking if possible and doesnt want to do a dry kit. as of right now it has impala hooker headers, 58mm BBK tb, smooth intake elbow and SLP MAF, hypertech programmer, 180 t-stat, 2.5in exhaust, HAI. hes getting a 3.73 gear, small (2500ish) converter, new edlbrock air gap style intake, and some drag radials for it soon. we need soemthin fail safe and idiot proof. basically need all the wires and lines to be there just for ease of installation. so who makes a good bolt on wet kit for a LT-1? TIA guys

I would look into the Nitrous Outlet LT1 plate kit or the NX MAF kit.

how critical do you think a nitrous converter is with this car? i know a anti-balloon plate is the preferred thing, and it is a heavy car. but it will hardly be sprayed, maybe 10-20 times a year, and at most with a 150 shot. starting with a 50 and workin up to a 100-125 for the most part.

I'm going to go with Nitrous Outlets 58mm plate system when the time comes.

Make sure to get rid of the hypertech tune before spraying it, unless he was just using it for trans./wheel size changes. Has he already bored the intake openings up for the 58mm TB?

its old school, but the Nitrous Works plate kit is very plain and simple, and is as close to "unscary" as I have seen.

I have a Zex wet kit and love it...very simple install compared to alot of brands, and it works great. Its a 3 wire hook up..positive (power source) ground, and Throttle positioning sensor. I called Zex Tech and they even told me what color the wire was that i had to splice into. FYI for everyone, Zex rates there shots in fly HP.

I would look into the harris speed works kit. I have the dyno tune kit and im not all that impressed. I like the zex kit cause it comes with a lot of little things that make the install easier. I will tell you one thing you wont find better costomer support then nitrous outlet. I have not bought a kit from them yet, but from buying other things from them i can tell you they are easy to get a hold of and they always have the answer.

If your your wanting a cheaper kit there is nothing wrong with the dynotune kits. The nitrous outlet plate that Tony mentioned is about the best option out there.

The plate kit will give better atomization and distribution over a single nozzle...they are also a little easier to install than a nozzle kit. But the downside is they cost more.

We have single nozzle kits for the LT1 platform also. If he wants to call I would be happy to go over all the different options, so we can make sure we find the kit that is for for him and also meets his budget.
