Default wires arching

got a 94 TA i just put on a set of accel 9000 spark plug wires and they r arching at the boot that goes on the spark plug. I bought them from Advanced auto parts. This is my second set 1st set did the same thing. So i thought they where bad so the guy swapped the for another set still doing the same thing. Any ideas anyone

arching to what? the block or the headers/manifolds? melted maybe but if they are brand new then they should not melt that fast.... you put the conductive jelly on the spark plug?

I have been down this road. I had to get MSD Super Conductors to resolve the problem. Also make sure you are gapped .045" - .050" on the plugs.

For stock locations, good call, but I would still go low resistance MSD 8.5mm wires. This will ensure that the voltage makes it to the plug properly. High resistance wires are worse for arcing.

For OTVC like mine that wont do, MSD hands down.
