e-cutout stuck closed
My McCord e-cutout is stuck closed. I put a voltmeter to it and it read 12 volts, but its stuck closed. It's probably an elec. motor or something. Is the motor a cost worthy part to replace, or should I just get a new one? Do any supporting vendors sell e-cutout parts? If any vendors could also speak up on possible costs of parts or a new unit, I would appreciate it, thanks.

mine does the same thing, its the connections at the motor have someone hold the button open and get under their is wiggle and **** on the connection at the motor, I ended up pulling my heat shrink off and messing with them, i got to get time and fix it though.

I killed three cutout motors before I gave up and ditched the idea alltogether.
Stupid cutouts cost me 7rwhp (closed) and only gained 10 (3 over not having them) when open.

Hell, I don't know physics, and it makes perfect sense to me. The only way it wouldn't cause a power loss is if it had a flap, that when closed made a perfect closure over the exhaust pipe, and when opened then flopped over and obstructed the exhaust pipe which in turn would divert exhaust out of the cut-out. Please tell me you follow what I said, so I don't have to bust out ye ole M$ Paint
