Default mass air flow sensor

I was looking at a Summit book and they show a mass air flow senor (their brand) that will work with 1994-97 LT1, and 97, 98-2002 Ls1. I have a Granatelli on my 1998 and was thinking of putting it on my 1994. But the Granatelli has two listing for theirs, one for the 1994-97 another for the 98-02. Anyone know why there be would be a difference between the the two brands? Thanks for your input.

Well the stock one will flow enough for around 500hp. And the different part numbers are for LT1 and LS1, which you already pointed out. Unless you are referring to the added "C" at the end, which it notes RIGHT in the description "Cold air intake". What the differences could possibly be, are beyond me, unless it comes with some sort of bolt on flange for the CAI version *shrug*.

93's don't have MAF, so I don't have to worry

Thanks for the reply, I know about the cold part, but I was trying to figure out why the Summit brand seems to work with just about everything and the other is stopping at the 97 and then picking up with the 98 Ls1 again with a different number. Just seemed strange.

Ah I misunderstood your post about the Summit brand.

My guess is they use different connectors, and Summit MAY just give you the connectors for both, in which case you have to swap out yours (splice it in).

I really don't know, just call Summit They'll tell you quicker than anyone here would.
