I'm currently at 31.5 spark advance. What timing are you naturally aspirated guys running?
**edit: im at 31.5 i was looking at the ecm constants table which was at 40 but according to the correct tables im at 31.5.

i was talking about the ecm constants table under max spark advance in tunercats. i also wanted to get an idea of what tables you guys were changing your timing in and with what values. im getting slight knock so i just want to mess with the timing a little to see what happens.

There are people around to help
One of the big issues we had was low octain mode. once the car is kicked into it(solid knock retard) the PCM would stay there and use a multiplier for sensitivity all the time until the car was restarted.
We solved this by zeroing all the low octain tables and using a max value for retard. Then we adjusted the knock retard curve to come back to normal faster. We have it come back as fast as we feel is safe. By using the max retard value you have safety and by emitting the Low octain talbes you have repeatability
BTW those tables were only available in Tune cats!

OK I forgot, I remember now what I did. I used the "Smooth Table" function in TunerPro, which made the table not so erratic.
Did it help? Don't know. I have a 93, so I would have to burn a new EPROM every tune change.
Also, if this looks bad, it's because I don't know what I'm doing ^_^
The white is CURRENT
The yellow is STOCK
EDIT: Sorry for the crappy table pic. 100k upload limit.
BTW, I did this same smoothing to my Volumetric Tables, and that's the one I think I upped 2.5% across the board heh I don't remember, it's been 1/2 a year.
