Yes you can, remove the inner sheet metal. Or there are nice welded alu ones on eBay lots of people here have for like $99. They're actually really nice for that price too. Easily could be sold for $150 in my opinion. Or get the composite black LT4 (but were on many LT1 Vettes) covers, but if you do I'll hate you lol I love them ones.

The production Vette cover rub the Alt. The F-body have a special cover made for them but the exh manfold ended up melting them so stamp steels ones ended up being production.
Here is a pic of the F-body cover.

Hummm....with that offer how could anyone pass. Yes for the right money they are for sale. The question is how much is a pair of covers worth seeing they are one of 20 sets.

More than I'm willing to spend, I'm sure. But they are really cool. I'm probably going to end up with Cantons, but I'd much rather have those.

But how? IF I'm able to talk him out of them, I really don't want to have to modify them

Does the fact I own a 93 change anything >_> heh *wishful thinking*

His is a 94.

the stock valve covers will work with basically all aftermarket roller rockers granted they are narrow body. Pro Mags are about the only Wide Body RR and they require simple clearancing.

Formula.
Nope the covers are a preproduction part that never made it. The start of the LT1 program didnt have the manifolds that ended up in production. It want till the "NEW" manifolds come about and one good engine fire in a test cell that made the rethink on the covers.

You dont mod the cover you mod the Alt. by gringing some of the case away.

Ahhh ok. And it doesn't hurt the alt then?

Why don't the vettes have this problem? The mounting looks the same, and location is the same...

You don't need to, thats the thing! And if you want to, it's just a simple cutting off of pieces inside each one (at least I'm 90% sure thats all). Simple job.

You can do this yourself with sheetmetal cutters. You only remove one side from bolt tube to cover side. It takes all of about 20 mintues. Dont think i have any left in the garage already done to show pic's

I think pics of them as is, and just draw lines on what he needs to cut out would suffice.
