On a stock motor the TR55s work well, I found them to be a little too hot with the current compression so I run my leftover stock of them in my wagon.

Autolite 106 might work OK for you too again they can be a tad hot for modified motors but seem to be good for stock and they are easy to find as your nearest Walmart.

I use Autolites as well but I have read some debate on the actual heat range of the 106. I thought it was a stock heat range and 104 was 1 step colder, and 103 2 steps colder. But I have read that 106 is 1 heat range above stock. I take it you have actually verified this however.

I would just buy a cheap copper plug. The Delco's are platinum and kinda expensive. Fine for a stock/bolt on car and will yield several miles of use, but no extra fuel economy.

i wouldnt be too surprised if the originals are still in my 136,xxx mile beast. if not then they havent been changed since 87,xxx when the motor was pulled. anyway, i have a set of tr55 plugs that will go in when i get all of the pieces together for my header install.

The NGK TR55s gapped at .055" have worked great in my past experiences. It really isn't worth going with the Iridium ones, the normal TR55s work great. You can find the NGKs typically at any local DAP.

I'm currently running NGK TR6s gapped at .035" for the bottle. No complaints with these at all either

Just my experience but I found it easy to foul the NGK's. So I switched to Autolite.

I have had problems with Autolites. Maybe just the batch I ran. Acdelcos ran ok I have had the best luck with NGK's TR-55.

TR-55s at .040 for me, by recommendation of my tuner. Used to run the same plugs at .050.

Totally agree on that one. I stepped up to the Autolite XP104's they claim 20% bigger flame than standard plugs and my dyno graph agrees

NGK TR55GP's. Surprised at how cheap. I got them at NAPA for just over $2 each.
