Default LEDgauges 6 bulbs?

I just received the white LED gauge kit from LEDgauges.com to be installed in my 95 LT1. It only has (6) bulbs, will this be enough? From what I have read there are a lot more than 6 bulbs in the back of the gauge cluster. Thanks!

I just pulled the cluster and there are about 20 bulbs in the back. Which ones get replaced?

Bummer, I've got a 94, so I guess that page won't help me either.

Ya the back of ours has 20 lights! I hope I am not the ONLY person on LS1Tech that has the LED Gauges kit in an LT1! Someone has to know what lights go where!!! I PM'd and emailed the sponsor but no reply so far.

you could always replace the bulbs that are close to the 98+ style and install it, if u have a dim spot, take it off and try a new combo... might be a lot of work...

What is the point or what are the advantages of using LED's in the cluster?

Can you post a pic of the replacement LED's they sent to you. I'm curious to see what it looks like and how the got a socket to work on the 94-96 cluster. I believe the socket is a counter clock-wise turn.

Thanks, Mike

Some pics after the install. There are a few spots on the gauges that are not lit very well. The picture show the gauges a lot brighter than they really are. If I had 7 LED's instead of the 6 in the "kit" I think it would have turned out better.

That looks awsome. And x2 on the pics of the actual LED's and plugs to get it to work.

>>>NO NEED TO QUOTE PICS!!!<<<
It looks like you have dark spots and then light spots. You might be able to add some additional sockets to get more light in the required areas.

I once had a white gage overlay that needed additional light and I added two extra light sockets. Just takes a little creativity, but what you have done looks great

Do the LED's dim down just like bulbs are do they have to stay "full on"?
