I'd step up to 3.73 gears first..then ditch your shorties for some longtubes

Yup Sell Those Shorties And Step Ur Game Up With L/t Headers Go With A True Duals.
Or Buy Nos AND HOOK THAT UP. THEN UPGRADE THE HEADERS ASAP.
THEN U CAN UPGRADE TO A GEAR AND STALL AFTER THAT. THEN TRANS AND SUSPEN.

Nitrous is your best return for the $$$...find another mod that can add 150hp for $1000 or less

I guess you have a auto trans. I would say stall and some sticky tires if you what to run at the track. But get the stall for sure then gears.

get rid of the shorties for LT's... 3200 stall, and i would say 3.73's for sure.... great street combo there... Otherwise look at doing some free mods and a cat-back...

ps. you don't really need stickies if your driving the thing around the street, you'll be wasting you $$$ on more tires pretty quickly.. just buy some decent tires and you'll be good to go with a careful launch..

Buy a stall, LT's, & DR's. If there is any cash left grab a 3.42 10bolt off a 6speed car, I see them all the time for sale locally. I can hook it up for you if you live anywhere near CFL.

3.73's and a wet nitrous kit would be my vote.

A hypercrap would do that just fine, wouldn't put that hypertune on it though....as far as what to do with 1k, heres the list I did with around 1k at a time.

1st parts batch
Pasesetter L/Ts W/ORY
SLP CAI
Hypertech
Nittos for the rear
Cheap 2800 stall

2nd parts batch
Yank SS3200 stall
TNT F1
Comp XFi 230/236 with all needed hardware
17x9.5, 17x11 ZR1s with 315 Nittos out back

yeah so the 2nd batch of parts was a tad over 1k, but as already said, some new gears, and a nice lil stall would help out a bit, and swap the shorties out to L/Ts ???

You where doin good until here.

For how important your transmission is, how much it costs to rebuild it and how crucial it is when it comes to putting the power down/performance; this is one area I would not cheap out on.
A Yank 2800/3000/3200 is a very affordable and well known stall/brand.
If you can get used coated LT's.. get'em. If you can get a used CAI... get it.
But a cheap stall? I would not recommend that.
Do it once. Do it right.
Yank or Vigilante with a new flexplate and tranny cooler.
(No punn intented Great White, 95% of your advice is right on)
The hypertech is negotiable because Its great for a gear change, or 160 Stat... but for how much PCMforless cost ($150), you gotta get a real mail order tune.

I actually wasn't trying to suggest a cheap stall to him, should have been clear on that, by Cheap stall I ment it was cheaper than a Yank but wasn't as efficient as my Yank, it was a good stall for what I had at the time and caused no problems for me, but yes if you want a Stall check into either Yank or Vig, Should have stated that before hand.
