Header install.... O2 delete?

Header install.... O2 delete? Doin my first header install with pacesetter lt's.... my friend suggested that i can just toss the O2's out when i do it. (keep in mind- no cat so they may have been taken out already) What happens when u delete the sensors.... will i need a tune after this.(mods would include headers, 52mm tb, tb bypass, K&n cai, B&m shift kit, jet chip stage II) Considering goin with the lt4 cam kit in a couple months, should i just wait it out. Will my car suffer?? All suggestions appreciated
