LT1 intake gains... is it worth it?
Whats up guys? I've got my 1995 Vette LT1 out right now getting stroked. It'll be a good ol' 383 when I get it back. Anyways, I have this in my 1984 El Camino which has 4 front light enclosures. 2 4"x6" low beams and 2 4"x6" high beams. The car currently has a K&N air filter on it. Would taking out the 2 4"x6" high beams and turning them into a tunnel ram air system really be worth the extra gain or is that more of a waste of money?
I found these really cool halo or angel eye HID headlights I want to put in so if its really not in my favor I could care less. Plus that stock motor in the Elco scared me how fast it was, and now I've pretty much double my HP so should I even go for the HP gain / Engine running better or just work on making the car look cool?
PS. All of you non-familiar G-body guys, my car is very light opposed to what most think.

That was...
That was straight forward. Thank you. I've got so many different people down here in south florida, 90% who don't know what the hell they are talking about and 8% who just lie to get you to buy their product so its quite hard to get a straight answer.

The caminos are cool, but caminos with Halo lights? Just looks funny. If your going to do one of them, do the ram (gains???) idk, doubt much of one, if at all.
I did cut my stock air lid, sounds cooler, but I couldn't tell a difference, just peace of mind that there isn't anything restricting it.

on Musclecar on spike tv, they had an elco that they did a custom ram air on, that went down the lower bumper, via 2 pipes split at the TB... it was freakin cool..
first time they drove it they killed the rear
