Default Does this appear to be an SLP SS?

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?car_id=226378481

I'm going to look at this tomorrow. Other than calling SLP with a VIN check, is there anything I can do? Check the RPO codes? What should I offer for this if it is a true SS?

i ran the VIN and didnt come back with a match on NCIC. For that price, if it is a real ss someone didnt take too good of care.

the power window switch on the passanger door is hanging out. There should be a SLP sticker on the radiator support and another one in the door seal on the drivers side. My 96 had a ash try lid slp metal tag on it with the production # for it. Also the rims should be the zr1 style. if you need some pictures of those stickers, i can post them tonight when i get home from work.

If you run the vin it will only come up as a Z28...Check the stickers on the door or call SLP with the VIN.....

The floor mats say z28 and judging by the poor fit of the hood I think it might just be a z28.

The hood looks to be a different hue of white. Probably just an add on. Not worth $5650.

ok you said a match on NCIC...im a police officer and we run a vehicle through NCIC to see if it has been reported stolen..so if your saying the vin is a match on NCIC I would look harder into it or either give that VIN to a police department and let them check it for wants to see if it has been reported stolen..to me just from the pics it doesnt look like its been taken care of. NCIC=National Crime Information Center

Unless your referring to some insurance company or something of that nature

id say 4000-4500 max if it is a true SS. look for Y2Y and WU8 RPO codes and the SLP sticker. make sure its running good, no leaks, and no body/frame damage.

I'm about to go look at it for fun. Y2Y and WU8 RPO codes and SLP sticker on the driver's side door and on the radiator support?

GM data base does not recognize Y2Y...but WU8 comes back as...Z28 SS upfitter package...this vehicle vin decode has niether. I would say it is not an slp edition...especially at that price...besides it would have slp badges all over it.

I can confirm. It's not an SS. The engine is not stock either. It definitely has a small cam in it. It looks pretty decent in person and sounds healthy. Another guy was there, and he took it for a test drive. He plans on coming back Friday and picking it up for $5750. I think I should pass.

You said $4500 MAX if it were a true SS. You'd pay $5750 for it?
