Had a wreck some major help please
I hydroplaned about 2 days ago and hit a ditch going about 50 . Makes me sick .Well i got a few problems goin on. The rearend looks like it has moved to the right. and the back hatch has moved over to the left about half an inch and doesnt close strait. Will you take a look at some of these pics and tell me what you guys think. Also the left wheel is tilted in and i dont know if its bent or what.
What is that bar right there in the middle of the pic? Both of them have been twisted and i dont know what they are called. Lol sorry im new to fbods. Im wondering if that is why the rearend is shifted right.

being the way i am. i would take it to a frame shop and have them put it on a jig. a 50mph slam into a ditch can trash a frame. if thats the case the car would never handle the same and would probally eat tires and universal joints. some peoples opinion will differ but thats mine.

Take it to a frame shop. I did the same thing but hit a curb while I was sliding. My passenger axle, rotor, and the bracket that you connect the pan hard rod to all had to be replaced as well as my frame needed to be straightend out. In the end it cost me $1100, but I'm happy I got it fixed.

As stated above, the best bet is take it to a frame shop. Assuming frame is ok, the things you want to check and/or replace would be Lower control arms, panhard bar, shocks, and the axles. The axles in particular are notorious for bending even under light bumps like running over a curb. You may also want to check the torque are and the driveshaft and make sure they are strait. Good luck.

As stated, frame shop. My moms 91 Firebird was off 22mm, couldn't see anything wrong with the cars gaps, welds, etc. nothing looked bent. Well the shop fixed it with a suspension alignment. Less than $400 later, car is good to go again, won't be eating up the front passenger tire.
Good luck with it, the hatch not lining up sounds kinda bad.

Well it was wet and the car kinda slid before it went up on the ditch and i think what might of happened was when the car hit the ditch it bent something in the hatch from the force because it doesnt go back on right when i slam it down...i have to hold it to the right and then slam it. Hopefully thats all it is. And about the wheel leaning in on the top...i mean i think something else would give before a aluminum wheel would bend?

aw bummer.. just curious, is your insurance finding you at fault? ive always heard they find you at fault and say you were going to fast for the conditions even if you were going below the speed limit. but this state trooper just wiped out bad the other week when he hydroplaned and went crashing thru the woods at this very bad spot on the highway where the water pools right up in the outside lane, but now all of a sudden its the raod's fault and the state is finally going to fix that spot

I've always known it as the LCA (lower control arm) - also known for that "granny's rocking chair" creaking that originates from the rear while going over speed bumps in winter.
