Programmers
Thanks for the help. Are theses programmers user friendly or is it something your have to have a degree in computer programming to operate. Can these systems also be used to tune the engine of just turn functions on and off? Sorry for all the questions.

I thought if it was turned off it wouldn't show anything. However I am on OBDI so I don't know. The tuning software is not too bad once you learn your way around it. It's kinda Greek looking at first.

The tuning software will let you stop selected codes from being tripped. It doesn't take a genius to do small stuff with the program. You could do things like, speed limiter, rev limiter, fan operation, desensitize knock sensor, etc. More complicated things like adjusting fuel is tricky. It depends on what you plan to do with the car. You can just get a mail order tune to get rid of it. Or get o2 simulators. The Tuner Cat for OBDII is pretty expensive.
