Default National LTX Shootout

Alright guys! Ill try and make this as easy as possible.

Lets start out by seeing how many ACTUAL people will be able to attend. If you are 80% that you would be able to show then please feel free to post up.

If you are of those people that will show up please post where you live/reside at currently. If we can get 20 people that live in TX, NJ, CA, FL etc... we can try and get a good location to hold the event. Rather then saying "lets just do it in KA".

Lets see where this takes us, if its sparks enough interest I will contact higher up people and the tracks.

Cliffnotes
1. Post if you are planning on going to the possible event
2. Where do you live?

Tony.

I just picked up a truck/trailer, but damn Kansas is far. Depending on when and where, I would consider the road trip.

I think it will all depend on where its going to be at. I think somewhere in the south would be good were you wouldnt have to worry about snow. Somewhere like Texas were alot of speed shops are. Or Louisana were Thunder and Futral are as they could be sponsors. We do need something like this as some of the other shootouts were gmhtp tried to get alot LT1's togeather but just didnt have enough or werent fast enough.

Like others, I would be interested too, but this sounds like a big undertaking. Good luck with it...

Oh I would need some serious notice if it involves a cross country drive...

I'm game if I can get the cage, seats, SuperVic, tune, all done prior and a way to haul it to wherever provided it's within reasonable driving.

If there was a class that would allow my car and the travel distance was reasonable I would come. A class specifically for LT1 Stock Eliminator cars would be neat. If you hyped it up enough you never know who might come out to play.

I will come but Texas is probably to far for me. I would do Memphis in a heart beat. Let me know if you need some help with this I can put in a little leg work to. You may need to open it up to LSX cars to get a good turnout but have specific LTX classes and LSX classes.

How about at gateway international raceway in St. Louis? Its a nice track and its pretty much in the center of the country. Its just outside of the city, so there are hotels, restaraunts and everthing like that.

I would be down to help promote this, in any way I could. I am part owner of Mafia Motorsports, and might be able to help sponsor the event. I agree on Texas, or St Louis ... but Florida would be awesome ... especially come the winter months around here. However that would be pushing the limits for travel for a lot, so it is up to the majority.

Anyone that is seriously interested can continue to post up.

I will forward this to Scott at GMHTP later on next week, maybe he can assist us in organization.
