I was bored so I put this little vid together for anyone who ever wondered what a cammed LT1 sounded through stock exhaust. Just for comparison I also put a clip at the end with cutout open. Dont mind the smoke, I barely turned the car on after about 6 months. It sounds really quiet in person through the muffler but for some reason it sounds pretty good in the vid.

Sounds pretty good with the stock exhaust actually on video. Is it much different in person? Dunno about yours but my car sounds like *** on video compared to in person.

no cats, just LT's to ORY then to stock muffler w/ cutout in I-pipe. It sounds pretty good both ways, but im gonna throw my Borla catback on there soon.

I agree, I never did like the sound of a cutout...but every car I've owned has had one because they've always gained for me at the track.

i like the sound of a cutout at IDLE, but whenever you get on it the thing sounds like crap. What cam was that?

Running the LE2 cam, and yea the cutout gets kinda boring fast. With the cutout closed the car is a sleeper, but I can feel some power loss though. Im getting rid of the cutout cuz the car runs really rich and the fumes are getting to me if I sit in traffic. I really dont use the car much since I have my truck. I'll throw in the Borla soon and see what it sounds like.

Sounds AWESOME with the stock exhaust!

Amazing the difference between stock and h/c/headers through the stock muffler. I would have NEVER guessed that to be stock exhaust.
