Default Looking for advice on unleashing the lt1

Well.. sort of anyways. Im new to Lt-1s..
Anyways, I've got some money to spend and I'm not one to cut corners.
I was thinking of doing some sound bolt-on's etc:
I daily drive this car so I don't want anything extreme.. heard some good things about compcams, 260XFI HR13 maybe.
Also adding a 2500 Hughes Stall, my torque converter is kinda shot already.
Searched on the threads, lots of people like the hooker long tubes, figured I pick some up with some catback, havent decided yet.
What you guys think? good start to the 300whp range?

You don't even need a cam to get 300rwhp if it's a strong running car. Catback, headers, cold air intake, and tune should get you in that range.

Also do the free mods like tb bypass.

I know it doesn't take that much to get into the 300whp range, but i was checking my cash flow and I figure I'd go ahead and get some more mods while I'm @ it.

longtubes, stall, gears, cai, tb, you'll be running 12's probably, depending ont he gears, stall, etc. Lots of people underestimate LT1's... I'm waiting on my gear install, hopeing for a high 12 with the headers, gears and cold air intake.. it just depends whether or not you got a good running car or a bad running car.
