99% sure the head gaskets are thinner. Also what year Fbody and What year impala, the PCM's will be slightly different.

Also all B-body cars had vented opti's. Also the compression is lower then a f-body but not much. It also has cast heads and a smaller cam.

I think the intake/MAF are smaller too.

Intake manifolds are the same. MAF is smaller and the intake tract is grandpa quiet.

The alternator, power steering pump, bracket for accesories, automatic trans tailshaft, head material (alum. vs cast), direction of the wiring harness, just to name a few. However, the screwing around should be very little. They are the same engine at heart. If your wondering about anything else just email me. I have an LT1 out of a 95 Impala SS with an automatic trans, sitting on a pallet sitting in front of my 94 Z28 right now. Kinda nice for spare parts.

As far as a swap would go I put a (96) 9c1 Caprice LT1 in my (94) v6 Camaro and used the harness from a (93) LT1 car. Some parts swaps were needed like Intake and such but it fired right up, and has been running great after about a year and a half. So i would asume that the impala (being virtually the same engine) would do the same. But then again I could have just gotten lucky

For the SBC engine it can be done, but you would have to get one of the smaller distributors to clear in the engine bay. Not to mention figure out a way to hook up an instrument panel.

yeah. the caprice was the only car that standarx was the 4.3. The wagon was rumored to have the 4.3 as an option but no one has ever seen a baby LT1 in a wagon.
