Default how much are stock LT1 heads worth?

in good, complete condition?


thinking about buying up a set to work on to minimize downtime on a cam swap. possibly port/clean them up a little bit too.

i sold some last winter for 200.00 they were complete, but used with about 120k on them.

Hell, i just kept the heads and internals from a 93 vette block in exchange for disassembly and delivery of the block to a machine shop

Sold mine with 60k for $150, might have gotten a little more though.

Depends on the casting. If you're buying the heads to get ported then the most desirable casting numbers end in '374' and '643.' They're usually found in the earlier model LT1s. The later model LT1s typically flowed slightly more from the factory, but don't have as much material to work with when a porter/machine shop gets his/her hands on them.

dang, the heads im looking at are off of a 97. is the difference that significant? Im not looking to squeeze every last hp out of these things but id like something better than what ive got.

and also if anyone knows were all the data on these can be found id appreciate. by that i mean (year, avail castings, compression ratio, and whatever else) Ive got a 95 and if the compression ratio is different id like to know about it haha.

Those heads are going to be fine....


Its when you trying to ring the ever living **** out of your setup you would want those heads..

I sold a set of 643 heads on ebay for $250 shipped and bought a set of complete LE ported 374s for less than I sold the stockers for
