Default EGR Block Off Plates

I have a 94 Z28. Live in Alabama, don't give a crap about emmisions because there are no checks here. I took off the AIR and would like to take the EGR system off. When/ if I do take it off, I know it will send a check engine light code but will it make it run rich or lean? Or do any other crazy crap I wouldnt want to deal with? Thanks,

Andy G.

I am not 100% sure on how to do this on an LT1, so I am sending this over to the LT1 section and one of those guys can tell you for sure. Most likely everyone that hangs out in this section would be speculating for the most part.

No it won't have any negative effect other than possibly setting a code. You can tune it out and that will go away.

Leaving the EGR solenoid plugged in, but the vacuum lines capped off, should prevent any codes from popping up. Thats what I did. I did program the EGR out, but unplugging the solenoid threw a code right away on mine :\

lol Nice sig quote Infinite.

Well mines a 93, so that could be the whole reason. I also couldn't find any other thing to program out on mine for the solenoid.
