Default Revs slower after header/plug install

Like the title says, what would be the culprit? I gapped my TR55's at .044,little exhaust leak if that helps. Ideas please?

I don't think it is necessarily revving slower. It is just that the power and torque bands moved up in the rpm range and it does not feel the same on the low end.

I have to ask why everyone refused to gap the plugs at the factory .050''....

factory spark setting is for stock tune/stock cars.

closed spark gap will help the spark stay on the plug and not missfire.

What do you recommend for mine? I am off work tomorrow...have no money and I'm single again so I'm sure I could make time to pull my plugs and re-gap lol
