95 Z28 has a OBD1 data port correct??

Question 95 Z28 has a OBD1 data port correct??

Didnt the OBD2 start in 96 on the Z28s?

So since I am going with a LS1 it will read just like the obd2 would?

Yes..the OBDII System started in 1996, but the later 1995 models had provisions for the OBDII setups. Mine has a OBDII 16 Pin Connector, and was a OBDI LT1.
1995 and back still ran OBDI through that Port Connector, but the Wiring is inplace for OBDII System as well..I know cause I had to check and see when I was wiring in my 402 LSX.
On my car it was there...I'll look at my notes and tell you which ones you will need for OBDII..I believe it's 2,3,4,16 off the top of my head..but I will look for you and see.

ALL 1995 and back were OBDI Systems..regardless of the Connector.
NO i already told him 2 or 3 times in the conversion senction he has a obd2 port...never said his car was obd2...

Actually you have to run one wire from the Passenger kick panel to the ALDL connector to fully funtion the OBD II port ability. We have been doing this since 2001 I flip between OBD I and OBD II in my car

Mine had the Wire in place..I traced it..I got lucky..

What month is your car? Mine is a Jan95 and my wifes is a June95 and niether had it? Then again maybe it was the one from the PCM. It was six years ago LOL!
