Idk if it will give you that much to the wheels but its worth a shot because you could always reuse them if u do a cam swap. You might want to buy some new valve springs though depending on mileage the stockers might be about done for and the extra strain of the 1.6rr's might be too much for them.

no matter what the mileage of the car is,i am sure it needs new springs
they were only 85lbs NEW.i would definately suggest new springs like the
patriot bee-hives,retainers and locks along with a set of NSA 1.6 roller rockers,GM guide plates and hardened pushrods.

Where are you guys pricing/buying these RR's from?

I will likely be refreshing my valvetrain sometime within the next 6 months.

They will help power improve, but I beleive like most claims, its on a engine dyno and its not certain if accessories are bolted on.

Most cam grinds anticipate 1.6 rockes as opposed to stock 1.5's.

As far as choices you can just do a set comp cam pro mags, or aluminums, the weight is not an issue. But strength and reliability is.

They help some, but they're much more effective with a CAM swap. A good port and polish job also helps significantly. These are more additive mods, where the sum of the parts is more than you'll get out of the parts themselves.
