Default Help with Jet-Hot/ Hooker LT header install

OK. I have the passenger side in cant get the drivers in from bottom or the top.

Do I need to pull the steering shaft? I raised the motor up whil I was replacing the motor mounts. Should I throw the bolt in the passenger side mount so the engine tilts more?

Any one have pictures?

Please help.

Rob

I had someone turn the wheel so the knuckle would move out of the way. Some people have had to disconnect it. Im surprised your havin problems with the drivers side not the pass. side. You are the man!

Heck I just had mine out three times! Front end was not even that far off the ground. Wheels are only about a foot off the ground.

Good luck!

I have tried but the stearing shaft and the point where the #1 tube come in are the main issue. I can't quite get it past the subframe and motor even with the filter off?

Should I stick the bolt in the pass side mount and see if that does it. When I jack up the engine maybe that would open it up more???

So remove the steering shaft? Then reinstall it?

Thanks,

No.

Just at that pipe opening it is the widest.

No screwing around with the mounts needed. remove the steering shaft top and bottom. Remove the plugs.

It'll go. it's TIGHT at the subframe. Some have had to notch, but not usually with the later versions of the Hooker/JetHots.
