They are actually very similar, BUT there is nothing from a production gen 1 350 that is vaguely worthwhile when compared to the LT1.
It will use a roller cam like the 87+ smallblocks, some might need a little maching and a new dowel pin, but for example I used a ZZ4 crate motor cam in my LT1 for awhile.
Cranks, strongly doubt any production 350 cranks were stronger than the LT1 one, but it is just a one piece rear main crank balanced for lighter pistons, 2 piece rear main canks can be used with an adapter.
Heads, all the gen 1 stuff stucks royally compared to the LT1 stuff, you want to upgrade porting the stock heads is the best choice for the vast majority of us.
Cranks, pistons and rodsa are all easily interchanged, heads can be but gen 1 heads need conversion, think that starts at $4-500, not worth it with the results we get from ported stockers, even on race cars not just the street.
Tell us what you want to do and it will be easier for us to help.

When buying aftermarket rotating assembly parts the LT1 uses one piece rear main standard 350 parts.
A 355 is NOT a stroker and you have to spend a fair amount to get a better than stock crank so if staying with the stock stroke like a 355 is(just overbored .030) then consider reusing the stock crank.
The car needs a lot of stuff before you should think about the engine. You can make the car much faster with almost no internal work to the engine itself and all that needs to be done first.
