Power loss??

Power loss?? I installed BBK shorty headers and have had them off 3 times in just as many weeks because I couldn't get a good seal I finally got them to seal well got rid of my flowmaster and installed a magnaflow, now it almost sounds like there is an exahust leak by me headers, how much noise do shorty headers make in the engine bay, is it going to be noticable or is something actually leaking??? Also seems like I might have lost power since the headers, any reason for that???
