Default which cam and where

okay so i might pick up some ported heads, not sure the flow yet but it has lt4 springs w/.550 lift. Which cams should i be looking at? I want to hit close to 450 if possible.

LT4 springs are not capable of .550 lift, they are about right for a stock cam with 1.6 rockers and that is about it.

450fwhp with average quality heads and a good cam is possible, going to really depend on the quality of the heads though. A lot more places out there selling crap than doing it right, do not assume "ported" means good, hell don't assume a good reputation means good.
For instance I just saw a thread on another board, guy got an MSD opti and Aeromotive AFPR because both were the "best" both were bad out of the box, if he had done research rather than listyening to reputations he would have made better decisions.
