Milky oil??? head gasket or something else
I need to ask more more question about the Z28 that i want to buy for $800. Well the thing has coolent in the oil b/c the oil is milky brown, i just want to know is could this just be a blown head gasket or something else more, i was reading post and saw that it could be the berings and to take the oil pan off and check them. So if it is the berings how much would it cost for something like that to be done??? i have never worked that deep into a block, i have taken apart many but never really built any. Well is the mily oil b/c the head gasket or could it be something else.

most probably ,it's either a blown head gasket or a cracked cylinder head
personnaly i'd remove the engine & make a good inspection of all the components ......that beige sticky **** sticks everywhere in the engine & I dont believe that just a regular flush will take it all away..

So its gonna cost me about a grand to fix it if its a head gasket, i can do it myself but shoulds it still cost a grand and also how can i tell if its a spun bering, the guy turned on the engine and its sounded a but rought. Also i can hear a loud tick, he said it has a exhuast leak.

there is deffinately some type of water in the oil, i'd pressure check the cooling system to see if its leaking.
as far as pulling the pan to "check" the bearings you might as well just pull it out and replace the bearings, b/c even though 1 bearing looks good it doesn't mean the all are and since you'd be checking them all why not just replace them. and as for checking the rod bearings you might as well pull the heads to check and replace the head gaskets. plus for 800 bux your basically just buying a roller for that price.
