Default bbk headers ?

can 95-97 bbk shorty headers on a 97 lt1 camaro fit to the stock y-pipe directly. I want to keep the stock y-pipe because of the cats.

no,the flanges are very different on the 96/97 Lt1's compared to the 94/95 you will have to fab something up or move the cat from the drivers side.

I meant to say 96-97 shorty headers not 95-97, if that makes a difference.

as long as the flange on the drivers side header is triangular you should have
no problem with them fitting properly.

Yes they will, I had a pair and just sold them. I also have a catless y I will let go for dirt cheap if you no longer want cats. I am assuming that you want to keep your cats, reason for asking if the shorties will bolt to stock y. Let me know, thanks!

they bolt directly to the driver's side but you have to cut your y-pipe on the passengers side just below the flex pipe and peice in the flange that comes with the kit. I would suggest either buying a different clamp or having it welded at the joint because the one that BBK provides with the headers is a POS IMO.
