Default Lets settle this argument: Cam Only dyno #'s come in!

I think this should be a sticky. People with lt1's are looking for low 12's and high 11's right off the bat for the most part. This is easily achieved with a cam only setup. I have seen #'s anywehre from a junk 300rwhp untuned cam only lt1, to 380rwhp on a cam only lt1. lets find out where everybody stands!

please state the following.

1. your car
2. your main boltons
3. your cam specs
4. your dyno #'s
5. if you ran at the track, how did you do?

How do you like that cam, I have almost the same one but on a 114lsa in my 383. I dont have power numbers or been to the track. I have pulled 12.4's consistently on a g-tech before longtubes. People dispute the g-tech, but I have found that it is fairly accurate! Next spring putting in the 4.10, 28"m&h dragradial, better tune, bumpin up the limiter to 6700 and hopin for 11's on 17in wheels at 3700lbs!

I think that is a decent time for the 60ft. 2.24 is not going to get you down the track very quick. Lets say he drops down to a 1.8 wich is very achieveable, that would translate into a 12.2-12.4. You cant expext to run times that other guys are posting in here on 17in wheels. Most guys running low 12's high 11's are using a 15in drag wheel w/slicks or drag radial minimum. Alot of them also have done weight reduction. Ther are alot of variables to factor in.

I ran that with bolt-ons, gears, and dr's(stock wheels), only weight reductions was missing radio. just seems like a high time though. but ya with slicks his time would certainly be lower.

your missreading what I am typing. my heads are stock, and the port job is stock. "stock ported heads". i geuss that can sound missleading. there was no porting involved in my heads at all. never even removed off the block.

yeah, this thread is already getting into a cluster ****.

ok, I already listed all my main power boltons, I already listed my cam specs. My car is an m6. My dyno #'s are listed. I gave my 60', quarter mile time, and mph. My suspension includes panhard, lca's, stb, torque arm. Also, I drag raced my car on stock 17" wheels, with sumitomo 275/40 tires at 20 psi. I had a horrible launch, as you are all aware with my time. My car should be low 12's, and possibly even 11's with a 1.6 60'.

I'm not mis-reading anything. Stock heads do not have a port job, so stock ported heads means stock castings that have been ported. The correct term would be stock unported heads.
