Default engine sounds

I recently realized that my engine has been making unusual sounds it is a more of a clunking noise. oil pressure (20psi hot idle and 40 idle cold as well as 40 psi above 1500rpm) is fine engine runs great. and i dont hear the noise once i am going. I have not ruled out pulleys.

anyone have any idea

mine sounded exactly like that before my ac compressor pump seized. check your pulleys.

see if one of them is wiggling like crazy, or try to pin point the noise. its usually the ac pulley.

No but there is an A/C delete pulley at most aftermarket retailers. I had to use one until I got enough money for new A/C compressor. The A/C delete pulleys are around 40 dollars and easy to put in. Remove A/C compressor, install delete pulley and put the belt on,...Done!!

Yeah, but as soon as it locks up, or breaks the hub off of it your belt is gone and you are stuck on the side of the road. Like nychucky said if you don't want to drop 300 on a compressor then spend the 40 on the a/c delete pulley.. Just good insurance..
