huge problem....car wont rev.
just got through putting new walbro 255 pump on after many probs. probable unpluged the battery 5 times, also unpluged pcm fuse and the other pcm fuse. anyway cranked the car up and it idles at about 650-700 instead of 1000, so I unpluged the maf and the idle goes up to 1000. for some reason my maf is working now. use too I could plug in the maf and unplug the map and car would die. now car will run doing that.
BIG PROB- car will not rev, anything over 1/6th throttle will bog the car like the key was turned off, will rev to about 3k at 1/7 throttle any more and it bogs. I afjusted the afpr up and down, and it still does it with maf plugged in and unplugged.
question, did unplugging the battery so much, get the computer back to stock tune? obdI computer. because my maf now works and the idle is around stock with maf plugged in? car has 42# injectors. so prolly wont work good with stock tune.
im completely stumped

didnt really think it could be that, car ran out of gas in driveway, and burned up pump, installed pump and now this. I just watched a vid of a guy with a cam and 30# injectors, with stock tune. has similar prob, just not as bad. im dead set that the tune went back to stock. because the computer uses the maf now and the car idles at stock rpm with it pluged in.
heres the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1txNvVlRfwQ
my car acts just like this, but worse. he put stock injectors back on and fixed his prob.

agree, no way the pcm can just lose the tune, or resort back to stock. question, whenever it is trying to die is it popping backfiring through the intake, exhaust, does it start puffing smoke from either intake or exhaust when you let it die???? plus, you just put a walbro pump in, is it a factory regulator or an adjustable regulator, check your fuel pressure out remember how much more volume of fuel you are able to move now.. just food for thought

figured it out, I guess the pump was weak, causing the computer to run map only? put new pump on and blew hose from pump to sender, thats why the car wouldnt rev. got new hose on and car feels like it gained about 60 hp. obviously the car was running lean before, with old pump. car pulls hard to 6500 now with no miss.
