Default loosing oil pressure???

I have 160k miles on my 94 Z and am loosing oil pressure slowly. I have lost 10 pounds over the last month.... At highway speeds it used to be about 51 psi and now it's only 40 psi and that's hot. My idle pres. has not changed, it's still at 18 psi. I had Castrol (German) 0w30 but I'm gonna change to 10w40 with some Lucas treatment. Any ideas??

you might replace the oil pressure sensor and see if it changes, mine was like $35. it could be the gauge or oil pump but that is a long shot. if the oil is old than start there.

No, I'm running a good mechanical gauge but good thought...I think the bearings might be going UGH.

I have a mechanical and mine always sits at like 7 psi idle when warm?? Cruising like 20ish
I am gonna swap in a autometer to make sure tho.(currently a cheaper one bc it fit in my stock 1 1/2 location)

mine has never been great. just above the red line at idle, never more than 35-40 on the gas. I bought it at 52k like that, and it's the same now at 70,5xx.
