Default 30th anniversary firebirds?? not T/A's

anybody know anything about 1997 30th anniversary firebirds?? i have a 1997 firebird formula convertable and im trying to find info on the possibility of it coming from the factory being a special edition. on the fenders it has nice emblems that have a firebird and say 30th ann. on them. also has one on the center console. around the trunk keyhole it also says 30th ann. along with a 30th stick on the side of the ram air on the hood. any ideas?? i cant find anything!! thanks

30th anniversary was the 1999 year not the 97.

Actually 30th anniversary was '97 for Firebirds (and Formulas) as it came out in 1967. The Trans Am was not introduced until 1969 hence the 30th for the 99 Trans Am. As for the original question, My first F-bod was a white '97 Firebird that was completely base except it had the badges and emblems you speak of. I hadn't seen or heard of another until now.

It's most likely been modified at some point in time using 30th anniv Trans Am parts, post pics of the badges. Far as I know there was only a 30th Anniv Camaro that year, no Firebird.

That isnt factory, either after market or perhaps a dealer add on.

I would bet that it was a dealer add-on option that was available from Pontiac because my '97 Firebird had those emblems but they were in different places than on this car. And I bought that car in early '99 when the car only had 16k on it and was otherwise stock. I wish I had pics of it but I sold the car several years ago and my computer with all the pics on it crashed and I lost them. '97 IS the 30th anniversary for the Firebird as stated above because the Firebird began in 1967 (just like the Camaro).
