Default which piston rings???

i have a 94 lt1 bored .030 over and am rebuilding my engine, what size rings do i need? the sizes are either 1/16, 1/16, 3/16 or 5/64, 5/64, 3/16. thanks

i already have pistons, the rings are bad, the pistons are speed pro. all i want to know is what is the standard ring size for the lt1.

You need to know what size ring the pistons are made for. The stock LT1 rings are actually METRIC, the speedpros could probably be ordered with either size you listed.

Do you have a part number for the pistons you have in hand? That is the only way we can help you.

Hastings part number 4626 030. Or if you want Moly rings its 2M 4626 030. This is IF you have pistons that use metric rings like the stock ones do. Otherwise the part number is probably Hastings 139 030 or 2M 139 030 for moly.

I just rebuilt my 383 which was a .030" over block, honed it, got the kit with speed pro rings....
