anyone impala owners using low buck headers?
I had a 94 roadmaster wagon with the LT1 back in the day and used dynotech's 85001 longtubes and worked rather well (not D-port, but still works). I had to bend the AC lines and move my Oil cooler lines, but other than that was all good. Well I just bought a 96 impala ss that needs a new engine, so new engine is on its way. This car is going to be a major budget build up and I'm hunting for some headers other than the High dollar ones. I've been looking around and was wondering if anyone else has tried using any of these. First off these by flowtech:BIG-11108FLT

Next are these from Hedman:HED-68299 fits 91 caprice with D-ports.

Any one tried any of these headers, I bet either would work with a minor work. I plan on fitting a set up, welding in the bungs and having my buddy jet-coat them.

www.impalassforum.com is not under construction. make you're not linking to the old UBB.classic forum.
www.focuztech.com has great prices on their Try-y headers.
I wouldn't waste my time with shorties. I know budget wise the afterburner headers usually fit with minor modifications.

The headers from both Clear Image and Focuztech are of MUCH sturdier construction than something like the Flowtech afterburns, not necessarily defending the price just saying the products are not directly comparable quality wise.
If you want to ever actually recieve headers Focuztech is fast, Clear Image plays the "two more weeks" game for 6 months routinely.

I love a clean Impala SS. My old teacher has a 96' Black SS with Limo Tint, nice tires, and lowered 1". That was the sexiest car I've ever seen. I really like the factory wheels. And it hauled for a 4dr car.
