get a scanner on it and see if the 02s are switching. Does it have any codes?

There is alot of things it could be man. If the o2s are bad it will more then likely set a lean code or a o2 code. If it starts acting up when hot it could be the coil, ICM, plugs, wires, ECT, injector, exhaust leak.

rich and lean could be either o2 sensors or vacuum leak

Simple check I would do if I had this problem. Take the car out at night. Get it up to full operating temperature. Run one or two WOT passes. Stop and pop the hood. Are your headers/manifolds glowing? If so, replace the O2's. Check for vac leaks.

O2s are definitely your issue, and no ones for a 98 will not work.

The problem you described (starts running bad after 15 min) is a very typical symptom of o2 problem (because the car is not in closed loop for the first few minutes).

If it was bad ignition it would likely run poorly all the time.

You can do the following as a test to be sure though, unplug one or both of the o2s and see if that improves things (it will stay in open loop and not use the o2s if they are not both plugged in). If it does then you know that is the issue.

Quick Reply: i think its the o2's!!
