Formula front end
Does anyone here with formula's have anything in those two black plastic spots at the front of the car? Like has anyone slapped foglights or LEDs in there? I dunno, I was just lookin for some ideas because my car is red, and that black plastic looks dumb, and i think painting it red might look even worse. Any ideas, or should I leave the front as is?

When I had my Filtercharger, I took out the right one and made it removeable, since it passed air directly to the filter. I left it out most of the time, unless it rained.
Not sure what it would do for a FMIC, since it vents into the wheel well. At least on mine it does.

SLP installed these as part of the base alterations of the Firehawk package on all 96 and 97s that were made (they were all formulas back then). The car has the Pontiac factory fog light switch inside the car under the headlight switch. I don't know who made them and all my attempts to find out have met with failure. They look like pretty standard stuff but they mount to a metal plate that replaced the factory plastic back piece you speak of.

Next to my friends 00 T/A with holder removed
This is the front side of the brochure for the 97 Firehawk

Well you could get a switch pretty easily but the fog lights and the brackets are what I had difficulty locating. I was just trying to find out what bulb they used but couldn't find anything about them. I finally got mine out and changed the bulb. The bolts were rusty and it made it difficult to get them out. I am sure you could come up with something similar and they look pretty good.

Those round ones look hideous. The rectangles look really nice. My Formula doesn't have black plastic blockouts like I assumed it did. I looked one day and was pretty surprised... I've been thinking of putting fogs in there ever since.

My sister has a 1997 firebird, it has those rectangular fog lamps wired from factory to the factory fog lamp switch, just as the trans ams have. When she bought the car, it had one of them cracked, I installed one of those from the auto parts stores, costed like $25.00 and they fitted just like stock, I remember it had metal brackets welded to the front bumper rail.

I wired a relay into the driving lights circuit, so that portion of the switch (the first detent on the headlamp switch) turns on the fog lamps - simple!
Mine look similar to Ray's as well.

My buddy had a formula and got the rectangle fog lights and bought the switch for the TA fog lights and put in the same place as the TA, it looked really good and looked stock. He sold his car but I will ask if has any pics still.
