Convert SBC heads and keep Fuel Injection?
Possible?
Would like to keep fuel injection but I believe I can get a great set of SBC heads cheaper than I can get the same LT head for. What are some of the issues?
Just kicking a few ideas around for next mod...

Yes it possible, There are plenty of guys running SBC heads & manifolds while retaining Fuel Injection.
Theres 4 possible ways to go about it that i know about.
1. Convert a Single Plane Intake manifold for EFI
2. Convert your heads to match the LT1 intake manifold bolt pattern
3. Convert your manifold to match the SBC head bolt pattern.
4. Purchase a manifold already setup to run EFI with the SBC head bolt pattern like the Accel Pro ram intake.
All those options will allow you to run EFI with SBC heads.
Converting the heads will require some drilling and welding on the heads to convert them to reverse cooling. Not everyone does this and my recommendations is to find a company that has done it before because it's not easy and one slip up could ruin a set of heads.
Companys like port pros, Advanced Induction, BRE Racing, Intakeelbows.com, Eportworks & Speed Inc Are companys i've heard of doing the manifold and Cylinder head conversion Not sure who all still does it now.
