While we're discussing stock specs...can someone post up a dyno chart from a bone stock LT1 car(preferably one equipped with a 6spd)? I combed through the dyno archive and saw numbers listed for stock cars, but no charts for them.

Thank you. On a sidenote, I think I need to get my vision checked as I clearly missed that on the first page.

My '96 M6 made 284 HP and 301 TQ at the wheels with only a K&N FIPK and an SLP 2OTL catback. Back then on that combo my best time was a 13.4 @ 104 in the quarter.

I've always heard that a stock LT1 car was to make about 223hp at the wheels and a little more through a 6 speed. I wonder what they really are putting down. I tried it once with a G-Tech Pro and it said I put down 279hp at the wheels and I was spinning through first quite a bit. But I had a CAI, HOOKER CATBACK, NO CAT, FREE MODS, UD PULLEY KIT, AIR FOIL, 255LPH FUEL PUMP, AND A 160* THERMOSTAT. Has anyone heard how accurate the G-Tech Pros are??

Don't forget to keep in mind that elevation plays a big roll in dyno numbers. Higher up, the less dense the O2 is and less power you'll make. Afterall, that's why they added turbo and superchagers to airplanes, and then us car nuts figure "HEY! If they can do it, we can too", and automotive power adder was born lol

At any rate, I really can't see that vette and Z getting 236 >_> The had 2 350 TPI cars dyno 205 and 209 to the WHEELS and they only make 240hp with VERY tiny cams (but 340ft/lbs mwahahaha but I don't know what they got to the wheels).

I would also expect the Vette to inch out a bit higher due to it's rear end being a bit less parasitic than ours. Then again, on the flip side they have 1" bigger rims than us, and their rims are big *** alu behemoths Compared to ours at least. Especially our 5-spokes. Lots of people over look that big rims are big parasites for power (and gas mileage). That's why I'll never get anything over 16" unless it's given to me.

As for 1994Z28Lt1's car, his is a freak and he knows it Lucky bastard. Getting what most of us get after full exhaust/tune/cam (any combo). As I sit, I'd be VERY happy with 260hp. I have to check what the local dyno place charges for a few pulls.
