if your going for the hideaway tip, then id opt for the flowmaster. im going to run a mufflex catback, but i like the daul outlet better.

I voted for the Spintech, I haven't heard it in real life but I've heard that it sounds real good. Not a big fan of any Flowmaster mufflers on LT1's so if it were me I'd opt for the Spintech.

IMO the 4 in mufflex sounds to raspy with any type of muffler. But, with the spintech it sounds 10x more raspy than most other mufflers. A friend of mine had a spintech on a 4 in mufflex exhaust, and hated it so much it didnt last more than a few trips before he pulled it off.

the single out flowmaster isnt a bad muffler. its the crossflow flowmaster mufflers that robs hp.

I haven't heard a Spintech exhaust I haven't liked. I know it is a little off topic but the most badass sounding GTO I've ever heard in person had a Spintech exhaust.

Get the single chamber flomaster. Thats what i have on my car but only 3". It is very deep and not raspy unless decel'ing and above 3500rpms. but on acceleration it just sounds BAD.

Yep I agree with that+ the baddest sounding Camaro I've ever heard is mine and it has Spintech Pro Streets on it. No, I'm not bias, it's just that bad!

Mufflex installed their 4 inch system in my car with the Spintech muffler. It sounds OK outside but horrible inside. I can't wait to change over to Kooks true duals. I just can't afford it now, I was planning a new shortblock this winter but the tranny in my work van died and that takes the priority.

The Mufflex system hits everything and the muffler is hung waaay too low, it could've easily gone higher. They didn't do a very good install. At one point, the muffler and entire rear section dropped off the hangers and I had to re-work it all.

My car came to me with the Edelbrock cat-back system. I think it sounded better than the Mufflex/Spintech system. Of course, it wasn’t as loud.

I run the 4" - spintech single out. Spintech is slightly quieter and deeper then the flowmaster. I race at Englishtown and there is a noise limit, Dennis told me the spintech will pass, the flowmaster will not and I've never had a problem there with it.

Mufflex built my entire exhaust. Jethot LTs in to 3" Y-pipe with race cats that merge into a 3"in/4"out collector then 4" back to the single out spintech. I've gotten nothing but compliments on the sound of my car. Twice I've had cops come over to me and compliment the car?

That's the exact setup I want to run but where did you get the 4" Magnaflow muffler from? I thought they only went up to 3.5"?

I've got a single chamber Flowmaster, 4 inch in, and 4 inch out. On long tube headers, dual 3 inch to the 4 inch. Sounded like the 4 horse men of the apocalypse, little to no rasp. I'd post a sound clip, but the car is down for a build up.

I have a 3.5" in/dual 3" out Spintech. I don't think it sounds raspy at all, although the cats did soften the sound a bit. I've gotten a lot of complements on the sound. It looks good also. :-)
