Default ls1 springs for the smaller cam guys?

Can you use stock ls1 springs on lt1s with smaller cams? They are a beehive spring but i dont know what lift they are good up to. As in the guys runnin a 503 cam, can you run these springs or are they still a small spring. Only asking is because i have a set of springs from my buddys car layin around and if they do work then i can sell um for cheap to someone here. Or at least a upgraded spring if someone is only doing 1.6 rockers and not a cam.

No they are too weak. The ls6 springs would probably work with the hotcam, they probably won't have enough pressure for the 503 though. You have to remember than the ls1's have a ligther valvetrain than LT1's, and LS6's have a lighter valvetrain than LS1's and LT1's.

For about 60 bucks, the LT4 'stock' springs are a pretty good deal for smaller LTx cams.
