Default Which cam has more under the curve power? cc503 or hotcam?

My goal s to get a cam that works well with stock heads, has good driveability, no huge loss in mileage, and a under the curve powerband thats consistent to around 6k. peak power isnt all im going after. im looking for more power across the board.

but theres a problem, im on a semi-tight budget.

ive talked to many people and they've almost all pointed me in the direction of the cc503. it has basically everything im looking for and it works well on stock heads.

the other direction is going after the hotcam kit for the simple fact of $$ saved.

how much better is the cc503 to the hotcam? does the cc 503 make more power everywhere or just at peak? which makes a better daily driver? how much more would it cost to go with a cc 503 instead of a hotcam?

and, if possible.. does anyone have dyno charts of each on a bolton, stock heads lt1?

My older brother used to have a 95 LT4 Trans Am. It had the hotcam, 1.6's, LT4 heads, and LT4 intake manifold, I drove it a few times and my car pulled way harder than his ever did! They drove about the same too, both were 6 speeds. So IMO the 503 makes more across the board. We never really raced or got to compare one directly after the other because I built my car about a year after he sold his for an LS1. But we both agreed that mine was bigger and badder.

This one will beat them both under the curve, the Crane 227 which is a frigin torque monster and will want to be shifted around 6k.
