Default Any other boltons??

I have the following bolt ons! K&N CAI, descreened MAF, 1le elbow, TB airfoil, TB bypass, March underdrive pulleys, Pasecetter LTs, ORY, SLP loudmouth I, and i also did an AIR and EGR delete while i did all of those mods. I was impressed with the gains i got out of these but havent gotten any track times or hp/torgue #s! After christmas i'm taking it to get tuned by thunder racing and will get some #s and was just wondering if there were any other bolt ons i could do to squeze a few more hp out of it!!!thanks

Port match the TB to the intake mani. Port and polish the tb itself. I wouldn't advise just hogging it out, but I have found small gains here and there, removing unneeded material that was just impeding air velocity/flow.

I know you said horsepower, but some LCA's would help you get that power to the ground and significantly help your straight line traction.

Can't think of anything else off the top of my head right now. I'm still learnin though.

What about gears? If auto a good stall will make you faster. I know these are not hp mods but these as well as a good set of stickies will make you much faster.

how about some 1.6 RR's to get some more lift out of that stock cam, gears if auto or stick, converter if auto.

Its a 95 A4 so i have the stock 2:73s, so i wanted to go up to 3:42s b/c i drive it on the interstate alot and i think 3:73s are to high??

As far as the TB i was looking into get a 52mm and did some research and the only thing i came up with is power loss without having porting the heads or a bigger cam to support the air flow??

And how much of a difference would the 1.6rollers make and how hard to do myself??
thanks

Go with the 3.42's, I have 3.73's and I hate driving the damn thing on the highway, my 3.23's were real nice on the highway I bet 3.42's wouldn't be bad. About the throttle body, I've heard that too I don't even have one on my cammed car because of that but it could be a misconception I dunno. As for the Rockers maybe 5-10rwhp, I don't know how hard they would be.

I figured if anything the TB would give me 5-10 and i didnt think it would be worth it to have it hurt me so i think ima go with the 3:42s and DRs b/c my traction isnt all that great!then i will look into the rockers!!anything else?

the clutches wont slip as much because of the firmer shift. Its like riding the clutch in a manual car vs. dumping the clutch. it wont add hp per say but it will give a sotp feel. It also keeps heat down in the tranny.

lol, I'm not sure where you read this, but it was totally false. You do not need to port the heads or get a cam to "support" a 52mm throttle body. If anything a TB is a support mod for those mods.

Installing a 52mm TB is not going to result in any increased airflow to your engine, it will just make throttle response a bit quicker.

I did read that it will make the throttle response better, but i never read that it will make you loose power i have only heard that through talking to a few ppl.

i have been told that it takes alot of increased airflow to outflow the stock tb. some other ideas would be suspension and chassis stuff...lca's were already mentioned, panhard rod, torque arm, drop or drag springs depending on what you want, sway bars, shocks & subframe connectors. that stuff makes a big difference. some little things i didnt see anyone else mention, urethane transmission mount and an lt4 knock module. i have an e-waterpump that i was happy with the results of.

i cant explain it technically but you have a knock sensor and then the knock module which plugs into your ecm( box mounted near firewall on passenger side). the lt4 module is basically less sensitive to engine knock than the lt1 module so its not as quick to pull timing.

So it would be good to get due to lts, ory,lmI,(loud) causing more noise and vibrations making it pull the timing which is pulling hp??
