Default Abs Inop

my abs inop light will randomly come on now. Sometimes it doesnt come on at all and sometimes right when i start it up and sometimes in the middle of my trip. Sometimes it'll even kick on while i'm braking. It's just a stock rear w/ 4.10s. Any idea what is causing it to keep going off?

I don't know if Autozone can scan ABS codes with their free scanner, but if you take it to a shop for ABS diagnostic they can tell you what the code is.

I have heard of people having issues with the third brake light causing this.

would that explain why sometimes when im rolling in nuetral at like 1-2 mph sometimes my speedometer will climb really fast and then back down to 0 sometimes? Its weird sometimes when I'm rolling it'll go from 0 to 160 to 0 in like 2 seconds. Seems like it started doing it after I had my 4.10s installed but the abs inop light is pretty recent and my gears were installed 18 months ago

Wow,sounds like a fun electrical problem you have with the speedo going crazy. My ABS light is on and has stayed on, I'm almost positive its the damn wheel sensors, been too lazy to mess with it.

i dont know but im sure someone with more knowledge will chime in. my abs inop came on when i punched it 2nd gear after getting new tires installed. i would get a abs diagnostic scan to narrow the problem down. good luck
