Default n00b with a cam question.

Long time lurker first time poster. I got a 94 Trans Am with an lt1. I got a set of heads they flow 280 @ .600. I've got two cam choices. They are both competition cams. (hand me down cams) First is a 218/230 .495 / .510 114 LSA. Thunder Racing says it's a agressive street strip cam. For blower applications though. I don't think if that will work with my set up. Will probably add a wet shot, depending on how much christmas money I get. The 2nd is 242 / 248, .584 / .579 113 LSA I'm afraid that's too agressive for a stock block. I know a custom grind is the best, but I will do that when i get a new bottom end. Mods are stock 350. P&P heads, long tubes, 38lb injectors, 58mm tb. Etc. Thanks.

Do you have the flow numbers for the entire lift(.100"-.600") range to look at? The least of the two evils is your first cam choice, but I would personally sell bolth cams and get yourself a better choice.

You're doing yourself a big disservice if you limit yourself to those two cams. skip the wet shot and use the christmas money to get a cam well matched to those heads and the rest of your setup.
